Privacy notice
Charles Ferguson Ward trading as Abbey Bin Cleaning, sole trader, is the controller for the personal information described here. The correspondence address is 2 Laral Gardens, Newtownabbey, BT37 0LJ. Privacy requests and complaints may be sent to enquiries@abbeybincleaning.com or made through Abbey Bin Cleaning's published contact routes.
What we collect
Eligibility requests are processed server-side. Invalid postcodes create no record. Applications may contain identity, contact, service-address, bin-choice, consent and operational status data. Abbey Bin Cleaning does not receive bank details from GoCardless.
Why we use it
Data is used to assess service availability, respond to enquiries, administer applications, plan routes, activate approved service, meet legal obligations and send necessary service messages.
Our lawful bases
Abbey Bin Cleaning relies on contract or steps requested before a contract for eligibility checks, quotes, applications, service administration, customer-account functions and necessary payment handoff. Consent applies to optional Priority List contact and optional marketing and may be withdrawn. Legal obligation applies to tax and accounting records, data-protection duties and records required by law. Legitimate interests apply, where necessary and proportionate and not overridden by a person's rights, to ordinary enquiries and complaints, service security, abuse and fraud prevention, operational service planning, and establishing or defending legal claims. Abbey Bin Cleaning does not intentionally request special-category information and makes no solely automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects.
Who receives it
Abbey Bin Cleaning uses Vercel for website hosting and application delivery, Supabase for the production database and authentication, and Google Workspace for staff authentication and customer-support email. GoCardless Ltd receives the information needed for Direct Debit setup and payment processing and also acts as a separate controller for its regulated payment activities. Only information necessary for each service is shared. Resend, Plausible, Sentry and Sanity are disabled at launch and do not receive production customer information while disabled.
Your choices and rights
Priority List permission and marketing permission are separate and optional, and consent may be withdrawn. Depending on the circumstances, people may ask for access to, correction or deletion of their information, restriction of its use, or object to its use. Requests and privacy complaints can be made through Abbey Bin Cleaning's published contact routes. After giving Abbey Bin Cleaning an opportunity to respond, an unresolved personal-information concern may be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office.
How long we keep information
Enquiries and incomplete or declined applications are kept for 12 months. Customer, service, contact and complaint records are kept during the active relationship and for 6 years afterwards. Accounting and payment evidence is kept for 6 years after the relevant tax year. Marketing and Priority List records are kept until consent is withdrawn or after 36 months of inactivity, with periodic review to confirm that the information remains relevant and accurate. Raw security and web logs are normally kept for 90 days, unless they are needed for an incident, dispute or legal hold.
Where information comes from
Abbey Bin Cleaning obtains information directly from customers and applicants; from existing Abbey Bin Cleaning business and service records; from GoCardless payment-status records; and from property, address and council-reference information used to verify service eligibility and schedules. Abbey Bin Cleaning does not receive customers' bank details from GoCardless.
International transfers
Where an approved service provider makes personal information accessible outside the UK, Abbey Bin Cleaning uses the applicable UK adequacy arrangements or approved contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, after verifying the provider's terms. Details of the applicable safeguards are available on request.
